INGREDIENTS:
Cabbage (1/2 head)
Onion (1/2) or leek or both
1 carrot (sliced)
1 zucchini (sliced)
May need vermouth or stock
1/2 c. shell pasta
Salt, pepper
Crushed garlic
2-4 tbsp. butter
DIRECTIONS:
Use fry pan with tightly fitting lid. Melt butter, add onion and garlic and cover. After 4 minutes, add cabbage (3 slices to an inch, let’s say) and carrots. Figure on cooking the dish within 20 minutes, and during that time you may add any vegetables you like. Zucchini should be added about 10 minutes before completion. Check occasionally to see if there’s enough liquid in the pan; probably a small amount of stock or vermouth should be added.
Add pasta which has been cooked separately to veggies and serve with a little lemon juice if you like.
