INGREDIENTS:
12 large pasta shells
1 cup sauce
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 egg
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup mozzarella
2 teaspoons basil or parsley
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350F.
Filling: Mix ricotta, egg, half the Parmesan, half the mozzarella, basil or parsley and sugar.
Boil shells about 6 minutes, or until al dente. Stuff shells with cheese mix.
Pour 1/4 to 1/2 cup sauce on the bottom of a casserole dish. Layer the shells. Top with remaining sauce. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
Bake at 350F, covered, for 45 minutes. Remove cover during the last 5 minutes.
