INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 lbs. Italian sausage
1 sm. onion, chopped
1/2 bell pepper, chopped
29 oz. bottle marinara sauce
10 3/4 oz. can tomato sauce
8 oz. can tomato soup
2 bay leaves
3 tsp. oregano
2 tsp. basil
1/2 c. red wine
DIRECTIONS:
Take sausage out of case and brown in large pan or Dutch oven. When starts to brown add onion and pepper. Cook until browned. Add three sauces then remaining ingredients. Cook uncovered at low heat 45 minutes to an hour.
INGREDIENTS:
1 can minced clams and juice
4 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. minced parsley
1 tsp. chopped chives
2 cloves crushed garlic
1/2 tsp. oregano
3 tbsp. dry white vermouth
Dash cayenne pepper
Enough pasta for 2
DIRECTIONS:
Put in wok and heat to boiling. Lower heat to keep simmering while pasta cooks. Cook pasta about 7 minutes. Stir in drained undercooked pasta. Let cook 3-5 minutes.
INGREDIENTS:
1/4 c. olive oil
1 can (28 oz.) Progresso whole tomatoes, drained, seeded, diced
1 c. fresh basil leaves, coarsely chopped
1 to 2 lg. cloves garlic, finely minced or crushed
1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper
1 lb. pasta, from rigatoni to vermicelli, cooked al dente
Grated Parmesan cheese
DIRECTIONS:
Saute garlic in oil. Add diced tomatoes, basil and pepper. Cook over medium heat about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, or until thoroughly heated. Pour over hot pasta and toss gently. Sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese to serve. 8 side dish or 4 to 6 main dish servings.
