Cleaned flowers of broccoli (1 bunch)
1 lb. pasta
1 med. onion
3 slices bacon
1 tsp. olive oil
Dash of salt in pasta
Pasta: Add broccoli flowerettes to boiling water. When it comes to a boil, cook 1 more minute. Add desired pasta, cook until done. When the water begins to boil, make the sauce.
Sauce: In frying pan, add 1 teaspoon olive oil. Add bacon (diced). When bacon is half cooked, add 1 medium chopped onion. Continue to simmer on low flame. When pasta is half done, take 2 dippers full of pasta water and add to sauce in frying pan. Drain pasta and broccoli when done. Add bacon/onion sauce to the above. Serve.
NOTE: When pasta is in water, begin the sauce. Vary the quantities of bacon, broccoli, etc. according to taste.
